Adams, 307-739-3431 MOOSE, WY— Due to current,  HIGH  COVID-19 community level in Teton County, Department of Interior policy requires that masks are required for everyone in all park buildings in Grand Teton National Park, regardless of vaccination status. Park buildings include, but are not limited to visitor centers, administrative offices, lodges, gift shops, and restaurants in the Grand Teton. Current Department of Interior policy requiring masks are based on the CDC’s identified  COVID-19 community level . For more information on COVID-19 in the local park area, please see  Teton County Health Department . HIGH : masks are required for everyone indoors in a federal building in Grand Teton National Park. MEDIUM  and  LOW : masks are optional indoors. Frank MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS, WY - How would you like to work, learn, play and serve in Yellowstone’s wonderland on its 150th anniversary? Yellowstone National Park is currently recruiting for the 2022 Youth Conservation Corps (YCC), a residential work-based education program for people between the ages of 15 and 18. Visit the YCC program to apply. Completed application materials must be postmarked by March 1, 2022. Two month-long YCC sessions will be offered from June 12-July 13 and July 17-August 17. Thirty-six youth will be randomly selected from across the country to participate in the program. Adams, 307.739.3431 MOOSE, WY— Grand Teton National Park statistics show that August 2021 had the fourth highest number of recreation visits for the month of August. The park hosted an estimated 696,564 recreation visits in August 2021. This is a less than 1% decrease from August 2019 (702,022 recreation visits) and a less than 2% decrease from August 2020 (710,198 recreation visits). Camping in the park increased 13.2% in August 2021 compared to August 2019, while backcountry camping decreased 1.77%. Trail use in the park increased 20.5% in August 2021, compared to August 2019, on trails that use is counted. No camping or overnight vehicle parking is allowed in pullouts, parking areas, picnic grounds or any place other than a  designated campground . If you don’t have a reservation, the nearest campsite or  hotel room  may be hours away. 2.  Fire danger: Leave fireworks at home. Fireworks are not allowed in Yellowstone.
